Automobile Caliper Part

Automobile Caliper Part

The parts in the automobile brake system mainly include brake discs, brake pads, brake drums, brake calipers, etc. These parts vary in material, shape and size, but all play a vital role in brake performance and safety.

Product Introduction

Description

Automobile Caliper Part is a key component used to fix and operate the brake caliper in the automobile braking system. This part is usually made of aluminum alloy or steel, and has sufficient strength and heat resistance to withstand the high temperature and pressure generated during braking. It is connected to the brake caliper to ensure that the caliper can stably press the brake pad during braking, thereby generating sufficient friction to slow down or stop the car.

Features

High-precision machining technology

Automobile Caliper Part uses CNC machining center to complete precision structural machining, including drilling, milling, tapping and other processes. Through CNC machining, the geometric tolerance of key parts of the caliper can be controlled within the range of ±0.01mm, effectively ensuring the matching accuracy of the piston cavity, guide groove, fixed hole position, etc. with the brake disc and brake pad.

Material strength and thermal stability

The caliper body is made of aluminum alloy (such as 6061-T6) or cast iron material, and its tensile strength reaches 310 MPa and 200 MPa respectively, and the yield strength meets the requirements of no plastic deformation under continuous heavy-load braking conditions. In terms of thermal stability, aluminum alloy can still maintain more than 80% of its strength below 200℃, meeting the daily braking operating temperature range (about 150℃~250℃).

Thermal management structure design
The caliper is designed with ventilation channels or heat isolation groove structures, and is processed with ceramic coatings and high thermal conductivity metal cladding materials to control the heat conduction path and reduce the temperature rise rate inside the caliper. The temperature rise rate of the caliper with a fin heat dissipation structure can be reduced by 18%-25% compared with the traditional flat structure. The braking force attenuation is controlled within 10% when braking continuously for more than 10 times, maintaining a stable braking force output.

Lightweight structure
The caliper removes non-load-bearing areas through topological optimization and cavity design, and uses aluminum alloy or composite metal materials to replace traditional cast iron. The weight of aluminum calipers is usually in the range of 1.5~2.0 kg, which is about 30% lighter than cast iron. Reducing the weight of components without sacrificing strength helps reduce the unsprung vibration frequency, improve wheel ground contact performance and braking response speed
