Description

Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) are intelligent devices with autonomous navigation and environmental perception capabilities, and are widely used in manufacturing, warehousing, medical care, and retail. AMR uses multiple sensors such as lidar, cameras, ultrasonic sensors, and inertial measurement units, combined with simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) technology, to achieve real-time environmental perception and dynamic path planning without relying on fixed tracks. Its structure includes a drive system, a control system, and a sensor system, supporting autonomous obstacle avoidance and task execution.

Real-time environmental perception and autonomous path optimization capabilities
AMRs are equipped with multi-sensor systems such as laser radar, stereo cameras, IMU (inertial measurement unit), etc., combined with SLAM algorithms to achieve high-precision mapping and positioning with an error of less than ±5mm. This capability enables AMRs to build environmental models and adjust paths in real time in complex dynamic environments.

 

Flexible deployment and compatibility with existing facility systems
Compared with AGVs, AMRs do not rely on magnetic strips, tracks or QR codes, support free navigation in spaces without preset paths, do not require large-scale hardware modifications, and the deployment cycle is usually between 1 and 3 weeks. By docking with WMS and MES system standard protocols (such as MQTT, REST API), AMRs can achieve scheduling linkage and task tracking, reducing system development costs.

 

Multi-level safety mechanism
AMRs are equipped with 360° laser radar, obstacle detection cameras and safety barrier logic control systems. The detection range covers 1.5~3.0 meters, with regional warning and automatic deceleration functions, and can avoid people, goods and dynamic obstacles in real time. Industrial-grade AMRs achieve the highest level of human-machine collaborative safety through E-Stop (emergency stop) and PL-d level (performance level) control systems, reducing the probability of collision and pinching accidents during handling operations.

 

Data visualization driven
AMRs collect data such as operating status, power, task completion rate, path efficiency, etc. in real time, and upload them to the cloud management system through the built-in control platform to realize the digitization of the operation process. The application of AMRs can increase equipment utilization by 18%, reduce material handling error rate by 35%, and shorten inventory turnover cycle by 23%.
