Description
Single Vertical Beam Roller Gantry is a mobile lifting equipment with a single vertical main beam structure, which is widely used in ports, warehouses, steel mills and other places to carry heavy objects. It is mainly composed of a single vertical main beam, a cross beam, a support column and a drive system to form a stable portal frame. An electric hoist or winch is installed above the equipment, which can move along the track on the main beam to achieve horizontal and vertical handling of materials.

Simplified structure
The Single Vertical Beam Roller Gantry adopts a single column + roller track structure, which can reduce the amount of structural steel by about 30%-40% compared with the traditional double column gantry system. Taking a conventional industrial gantry with a rated load of 10 tons and a span of 15 meters as an example, the average structural weight of the single column system is controlled at about 5 or 6 tons, while the double column structure is usually more than 8 tons. This difference reduces the structural welding hours and the transportation costs of the whole machine, and improves the cost control ability and batch delivery efficiency of the unit equipment.
Strong spatial adaptability
Due to its compact structure, the Single Vertical Beam Roller Gantry occupies a small area and is often used in application scenarios with limited internal clearance or narrow and long sites. In small and medium-sized manufacturing workshops, warehouse passages or railway maintenance areas, this type of structure can control the total width of the equipment to only expand 0.8 to 1.2 meters on the basis of the track width (depending on the form of the guide rail). In contrast, the traditional double-sided gantry structure requires additional expansion on the left and right sides, resulting in an increase of about 20% in the minimum layout space.
Stable operation
The single-side column gantry effectively guarantees its overall stiffness and anti-overturning ability when the load is offset through structural center of gravity offset control and double-track distributed roller support. Taking the equipment with a rated load of 10 tons and a track gauge of 3 meters as an example, with the bottom guide wheel + limit system, the lateral shaking amplitude is controlled within ±3mm, meeting the stable operation standard of industrial handling equipment. The main structure uses Q345 or Q355 steel with a yield strength of ≥345MPa to ensure that the maximum deflection of the main beam is ≤L/700 under full load, meeting the rigidity requirements of medium-strength working conditions.
High maintenance efficiency
The single-column structure simplifies the number of drive systems and the complexity of electronic control, and the maintenance time of the whole machine is significantly lower than that of the multi-axis linkage system. In general structures, only the motor, reducer and main beam roller system need to be checked regularly, and the maintenance cycle is about 1000 hours/time. The control system mostly adopts PLC+simple human-machine interface solution, with intuitive diagnostic functions, and the average maintenance time of electronic control is less than 60% of the double-column system.
