Description
Gantry Robot Arm is an industrial robot built on a rectangular coordinate system (Cartesian coordinate system), which is widely used in automated production lines, material handling, assembly, packaging and other fields. Its structure usually consists of two or more vertical main beams, cross beams, support columns and drive systems to form a stable portal frame. High positioning accuracy and repeatability control capability
Gantry Robot Arm uses servo motors and high-precision ball screws or gear rack drive systems to achieve linear axis positioning accuracy of ±0.02mm, and repeatability accuracy is generally maintained within the range of ±0.05mm. This type of accuracy index is mainly due to the rigid gantry structure to reduce structural deformation. At the same time, the controller adopts a closed-loop feedback system and combines a laser encoder to correct trajectory deviation in real time.
Supports large travel range and high load operation
Compared with traditional articulated robotic arms, Gantry Robot Arm has a larger movement range in the X and Y directions, covering up to 320 meters in the X-axis, 15 meters in the Y-axis, and 1.5 meters in the Z-axis. In terms of load, the guide rail and slide combination can support continuous motion loads of 50kg to 500kg, and some models even support peak loads of 700kg. Its high load capacity is mainly due to the rigid design of the guide rail and the bilateral synchronous drive structure, which is suitable for tasks such as handling, welding or cutting of large or heavy workpieces.
Standardized structure
Gantry Robot Arm adopts modular construction design. Its core components include linear modules, electronic control systems, rack transmission, servo drives, etc., all of which adopt universal specifications and standard interfaces and have good interchangeability. Under the same load capacity, the average manufacturing cost of Gantry structure robots is about 30%~45% lower than that of multi-joint robots, and the maintenance frequency is also lower.
Small space occupation
Gantry Robot Arm is mainly installed on the top of the equipment or in the frame. The motion trajectory is parallel to the ground, and it can complete long-distance horizontal or vertical handling tasks without occupying the ground area. The gantry structure can improve the handling efficiency per unit area by more than 30% on average. In addition, the structure supports flexible expansion of the number of axes (such as 3 axes expanded to 4 axes or 6 axes), and adjusts the path and task logic through programming to adapt to the changing needs of different batches and different sizes of workpieces.
